The title page of this book spells out "1000".  See below for interesting color variants of this scarce book.  This title was part of the publisher's Young of Heart Series, which also included The Pineboro Quartette , Hero-Chums, and The Man without a Country . Dana Estes is also given as the publisher for these titles.
