This cover illustration from L. C. Page was later used for  Bird Stories and other titles by Lenore Mulets,  published circa 1904. Eighteen or nineteen years later, Cupples and Leon reissued the series, without the Sacker monogram [see below]. See another title in the later version below, as well as a further lessening of the design, where all color has disappeared. Curiously, perhaps, the later version provides the full first name of the author.
