The Minute Boys of New York City, by James Otis

Otis was a prolific writer of children's books, authoring more than 170 titles. I have identified Sacker designs for at least twenty-four Otis books.  Although this cover is unsigned, contemporary advertisements indicated Amy did individual covers for all the titles in the "Minute Boys" series [see bottom of the screen]. A red color variant, from the later L. C. Page edition is shown below. Note that the cover and spine do not include the word "City", although the title page does. The later Page edition comes in a pictorial dust jacket, whose image wraps around onto the spine.
