Monogram

This volume has an unusual early monogram, which I have only seen on the "Hildegarde" books. The spine decoration, which also appears on some editions of Richards' Margaret Montfort (1898), may have been done by someone else, as the lettering is quite different. This is one of eight Richards covers that Sacker designed.
